I dont know any of the songs on that list. I remember my dad sitting in the kitchen in the 80`s reading the paper and then
saying to me `Who is Steven Morrissey??` I think im turning into my dad.
Have to agree that the Shihad LP is very good.
The only thing Ive heard that remotely interests me is a band called Fat White Family. I eckon if Youth could get them into a studio
and bang their heads together they could be enormous.

That top 40 list makes me feel fucking old :(
That ginger twat Sheeran is everywhere grr and Hozier tune makes me want to
divorce my Mrs. He is from next village to me and wife thinks he is great.
Albums, other than Pylon, I actually bought none this year, I did download
one or two on your list though and the New Order, Blur and PSB albums are
good.
I know it is from 2014, but I only really discovered Shihad's FVEY, this
year and was blown away (might even buy it!), but yeah, at 50, I am
starting to feel my age when I see top 40 lists like that. Had to happen
eventually I guess lol Fought it for years, always being told "grow the
fuck up" lol

Only albums bought this year were Pylon and the FFS album, both of them sodding fantastic.
Heavy rotation for this year were those two albums, Ministry 'Land of Rape and Honey'. KMFDM 'Kunst', Schwein 'Schweinstein' and Chu Ishikawa's soundtracks for the first two Tetsuo movies. It's been an industrial year.

There are actually a few good ones in there. I love Can't Feel My Face, esp
since I pointed out to my daughter A it sounds like he sings "Shit ole me"
which has since gone round school.
Mostly I just mooch and fave tracks from SomaFMs Indie Pop Rocks or random
Deezer playlists but
my top 2015 albums (released or discovered) in 2015 for fat ole me:
Pylon - not because this the stuff of fanboydom but because it's genuinely
stunning
Foals - What Went Down
Mew +/-
GhostPoet - Shedding Skin
Silversun Pickups \- Better Nature
Great Northern - Tremors
Wolf Alice - My Love is Cool
Slow Readers Club - Cavalcade (local band, just been signed - check out I saw
a Ghost)
Noel Gallager \- Chasing Yesterday (I know and I don't care...)
TV on the Radio - seeds
New Order - Music Complete (agreed Rob)
I also discovered and rather enjoyed Nico Vega, Half Moon Run, Cinematics and
Best Coast...

Well, I managed to know about 10 of that selection ? and can also tell you that
the number 20 Calvin Harris is not a cover and has some truly terrible lyrics.
Anyone know if Benny is still drumming for Calvin?
As for New Orders album, personally I find it shocking, truly shocking (well
perhaps marginally better than Waiting For The Sirens Call)...there again I have
found NO to be a mixed bag since 'Technique'. Seeing live footage of them from
Maida Vale for 6 Music as well as on youtube they have somehow become dad rock
and the worst tribute act to New Order. I was embarrassed to hear one of my
favourite songs 'Lonesome Tonight' bastardised in their live set.
Peter Hook & The Light do a far better job with old New Order songs in my
opinion, having dual bass helps emulate the high and low bass patterns on a good
number of songs..
