They (the critics) were never going to go for the myth arc stuff. Wasn't going to happen. I'm far more interested in the monster-of-the-week stuff. That's where the show really scored.

 Just seen the first
 episode of the new series. I think Jaz was a consultant.
 Alien technology is being used by a shadowy global elite to
 usher in a new world order, via food control, baby
 harvesting, total surveillance etc etc. FEMA camps even got
 a mention. It was the last 4 KJ albums condensed into 50
 minutes. The reviews have been damning but I thought it was
 enjoyably bonkers. They've really gone for it this
 time.
