I remember sitting in the front of a mate's van, probably late 1991, maybe 1992, and he put on a tape... some band I'd never heard of. First couple of tracks were pretty good though. Then a slowed-down version of Eighties sparks up. What...?

I'm sure I've mentioned this in the past but Grohl was at the 2008 Hollywood
House Of Blues KJ reunion tour show. Before the show, he was near one of
the bars talking with a couple other people and as I was ordering my drink,
I overheard one of them say something stupid ("the songs don't sound
anything the same") about the Nirvana Come As You Are/Eighties riff
similarities and I made an off-handed comment about how it was an obvious
rip-off and Grohl abruptly walked away. I didn't even know it was him until
one of the pissed off guys whined that I scared him off with my comment.

I've heard mixed things about Grohl. He may have a love-in with Jaz but
apparently that warmth and respectfulness hasn't always been there around
KJ. So not sure about him at all as a person but enjoyed his drumming on
2003.
