Evening all!

Just thought I'd mention this for any of my fellow industrial fans on the list. The Joke's partial touring mate, Raymond Watts AKA Pig, hasn't been prolific throughout the last few years, sticking mostly to soundtrack work, but he has been releasing quite a few EPs and an album (Risen) in the last 18 months. I've recently acquired them and they're pretty damn good. Two tracks from one of the EPs (Revelation and Prey & Obey, from the Ep of the same name) are particularly fine. It seems to pick up where Pigmatyr left off, pounding guitars with Watts' characteristic oddball, cinematic touches thrown in. Guests this time include his old KMFDM co-founder En Esch, Mark Thwaite (guitarist for everybody, including Peter Murphy, Gary Numan and Tricky, not to mention a member of Mob Research with Raven and Big Paul's collaborator on his recent solo record) and Cubanate's Marc Heal. Crunchy guitars are courtesy of Ben Christo from the Sisters of Mercy, who is also touring with Pig on the upcoming dates. Definitely recommended.

In case you don't know, Raymond Watts has been a major industrial figure for a long time- a co-founder of KMFDM, sound engineer for Einsturzende Neubauten, touring member of Foetus, collaborator with Japanese supergroups Schaft and Schwein. If you're seeing the Joke in the US, I would check out Pig too.

Jim.
