 I logged onto this email address this evening for the first time in many months, and what do I find...
Yes, this is the end of an era.  Maybe it's time though, given the loss of Geordie.
Thank you Andreas for years of hosting.  Thank you everyone else for all of the posts, the meet-ups, the gig tickets, the bootlegs, the stories...

my webspace provider informed me that the email list functionality we've 
been using for this list for the last 25 years will be turned off by the 
end of the year. Apologies for letting you all know so late, the 
notification arrived a few weeks ago but was lost in my to-do list.

Now - this list has not seen much activity in the last few years; I 
assume most of you won't miss it a lot. However, if you'd like to 
continue using such a list feel free to find another mailing list 
provider. My webspace provider might have a replacement service at some 
point, but not so far.
