Probably, but why did it change? IE6 is still the default browser for many
users anmd good web design should at least cater for the most popular
browsers.
The Parts Tracker uses a GIF image -

The PostNuke site uses PNG -
http://www.ldraw.org/themes/LDrawXanthia/images/logoshort-1.png
