Hello LTPC Alumni,

More e-mails came today than I could get to.  I'll get them all added to this list as quickly as I can but my wife still expects me to be making a living.  ( I wish Cendant/Progeny would let me make a living.)

Some of the e-mail addresses came by way of a friend or manager, so if you get this message and don't want to be on the list, just respond back to this message with something that will let me know your feelings.

Thanks goes out to Jay Black for getting some answers from HR about the "no commissions for 90 days" dilemma that had so many of us up in arms - Thanks Jay!

One of the largest issues still seems to be HR's attitude that we shouldn't have any interaction with out clients after 6/20 (or 5/24 for some of you) - so once again I would like you all to look at our contracts......

Under Section V of our contract, Part B (Non-Competition), it reads:

B. Non-Competition: During the period of eighteen (18) months following the termination of employment for any reason, SA agrees that SA will not for SA's benefit, or in association with, or on behalf of any other person or entity:

    1. Directly or indirectly solicit or attempt to solicit the sale of any product or service similar to products or services marketed by LTPC to any of the following:

    a).    Any of LTPC's clients with whom SA had direct contact while SA worked for LTPC; or

    b).    Any prospect or lead given to SA by LTPC or generated by SA while SA worked for LTPC.

Unless a whole bunch of us are complete morons, there isn't ANYTHING in there that keeps us from contact with our existing clients - we just can't sell them any LTC insurance  BUT, and this is a big BUT, there isn't a thing in there about not being able to SERVICE THE SALE that we already made.  There is a difference.

HR's decision to stop the flow-through of paperwork to the agents from the carriers is a BIG mistake.  They are not acting in good faith and we really have to do something about it.  If you have any more information about this issue, please reply back to me so that I can get it to the group.  Hopefully by getting this e-mail list together we can get this kind of information out to everyone who needs to know.

Now, one last tidbit for today....... This e-mail list would be a great place for us ALL to let each other know about job opportunities.  I know that everyone has been looking into something, so send me an e-mail with the best opportunity that you've looked into & I'll send it along to the whole group.

Also, if you didn't get "Day 1", let me know and I'll send it to you.
