Subject: Fw: New contract
Hello X-LTPC'ers,
This message came from Kathy Burton today, and she asked me to forward it on to the whole group. I'll add that I have not heard anything about using the old vesting schedule, but it was based on years of service instead of dollars of placed premium. The old vesting schedule was............
Less than 2 years = 0% vested
From 2-3 years = 15% vested
From 3-4 years = 30% vested
From 4-5 years = 45% vested
From 5-6 years = 60% vested
From 6-7 years = 75% vested
Over 7 years = 100% vested
I hope that helps. I would like to get a little more clarification on that comment that Danny Nelms made about the new contract not superseding the old one though. The contracts that we are currently under specifically state in Section VIII. Final Considerations - Letter H - (about 1/2 way through this paragraph) " All former Contracts, agreements or understandings between SA (sales agent) and LTPC relating to the business covered, if any, are superceded" So I have no idea what he may be talking about there.
Any one else with more understanding on this please get back to us.

Subject: New contract
Hi Jon,
I have two questions for everyone, so please send this on. (This would apply primarily to non-vested agents.)
First, Danny Nelms told me that the new contract did not supercede all previous contracts, therefore they had to pay us renewals on everything submitted prior to the introduction of the new contract, based upon the vesting schedule in the old contract. Has anyone else heard this? I asked him to send that to me in writing, and he said he didn't have to, since it was already in the contract.
Second, I would like to find out how many agents are not vested. If any of those agents would like to email me directly, my email is:
burtonk34@msn.com
I know of several of us that are close but probably won't reach 350,000 by June 20.
Thanks!
Kathy
