I think you might be wasting your time. If you were Cendant/Progeny and =
you had shareholders/stockholders to report to how would you answer your =
own requests? We signed contracts that told us our vesting requirements.=
We agreed to them and we can't request a change at this time. If we ha=
d resigned, before we were vested, could we then go back and ask for a ch=
ange in the contract? What is their legal obligation to change? There i=
s no such thing as moral obligation and it's not something that will make=
them change a financial decision. (The company was losing money on firs=
t year sales, only making money on renewals). Do you think they will low=
er their profits by doing something you think they "morally" should do?
Servicing policies is something that will happen to some degree. The pol=
icies I'm still waiting to have delivered I'm calling the client to tell =
them the approval process is still going on and I decided to send the pol=
icy directly to them instead of having me deliver the policy. You can te=
ll them the benefits of this approach. Your NBA's will still be around t=
o let you know when the policies are going out. After the policy holder =
gets the policy you can still see them and make any changes in the policy=
that they request.
I suggest you find solutions and move on.

Subject: [LTPC-disc] Agenda For Upcoming Phone Call with Progeny/Cendant =
Management
Howdy,
I have scheduled a phone call with the top Progeny Management for later t=
his week to discuss this issue of problems with LTPC's shutdown. I am pu=
tting my agenda for the phone call together and wanted some input. My sk=
ills as a neogiator are not tuned to perfection, but I have been known to=
be competent in this area & I am convinced that we have some leverage.
I feel that we have the right to ask for certain concessions from Progeny=
. I also feel that it is imperative that this dialogue start now. So wh=
at I'm asking is for you to tell me what area's are important to you. Wh=
ere do you think you are being "short changed" by LTPC's shutdown and the=
policies that are being enforced. The deadline for submissions is NOON =
tomorrow, Wednesday, June 11th. My phone call will take place shortly th=
ereafter. Please address your issues to ltpc-disc@ltpcalums.com so we ca=
n all participate.
Thanks,
Doug
P.S. I will report back about the results of the phone call.
