Doug:
I was hired by LTPC in late November and put through sales school in January
2003. Two months later I was told that I was being terminated. Obviously, I
have no vesting issues but I am very curious to know what, if anything, I do
have going for me. No one can tell me that Robert Forman did not know in January
that he planned on shutting down operations. Why hire new agents, string them
alone, and then fire them (without cause)? After only two months as an agent I
can hardly be accused of being *excess* or *liability*...... I had absolutely
no chance to prove my worth to anyone.
I have moved way past LTPC and am happy with my new position. However, a
glance back over my shoulder still smarts as I feel the 60 of us put through sales
school in January were lied to and misled...... I feel there must certainly
be some kind of compensation for those of us who signed on with LTPC when they
knew we were going to be extremely short term employees.
If you have any insight, I would appreciate your sharing it with me.
Sincerely,
Maki Cutler
