Doug,
I started with LTPC in August 2002, and have close to $100,000 in business placed with them. When I heard about the problems occurring, right after the announcement LTPC was closing, I pretty much stopped writing business, because I did not feel comfortable presenting to potential clients when I didn't know what was going on with LTPC! So my income has stopped, and my potential to earn has now pretty much stopped as of June20) and I'll never get residuals on what I've placed. I don't feel LTPC "owes" me a change in their vesting schedule, but then again, I never expected the company to close! Since I'm not at the production level that other agents are, I don't mind about not servicing clients in the future, and I probably will leave the LTC industry. I would like to know, though, if LTPC could make a concession about the lost income I will face due to my not being vested, and not being able to ever become vested.
Those are my thoughts.
Appreciate your leadership in looking at this matter.

  Howdy,

I have scheduled a phone call with the top Progeny Management for later this week to discuss this issue of problems with LTPC's shutdown. I am putting my agenda for the phone call together and wanted some input. My skills as a neogiator are not tuned to perfection, but I have been known to be competent in this area & I am convinced that we have some leverage.

I feel that we have the right to ask for certain concessions from Progeny. I also feel that it is imperative that this dialogue start now. So what I'm asking is for you to tell me what area's are important to you. Where do you think you are being "short changed" by LTPC's shutdown and the policies that are being enforced. The deadline for submissions is NOON tomorrow, Wednesday, June 11th. My phone call will take place shortly thereafter. Please address your issues to ltpc-disc@ltpcalums.com so we can all participate.

  Thanks,
  Doug

P.S. I will report back about the results of the phone call.
