Doug, I have no idea if this info is really relevant, but in the interest of
venting a little from the perspective of someone who left GE last December
(2002) to come to LTPC because the way in which the opportunity was presented to
me made it look as if it was a better opportunity than where I was at, I'm
understandable disgusted etc., at what's happened.
Gus told me several weeks ago that he and Robert Forman, as well as others
who were involved, made the decision to lay off all the employees that were
given notice that they would no longer have their jobs as of May 24th over one
year ago. So they've been planning (according to Gus, anyway) the first massive
layoff for a year now. It makes no sense. Thanks for all your hard work on
everyone's behalf.
