Ok, I know what DRG's are... DRG's relate to Medicare and the diagnosis of
an illness or injury. In Medicare DRG's are used to determine what type of
benefits the patient will receive. So you are saying that the "trigger" in
this proposed policy is the actual type or manner of illness or injury and
not a "general" decline in functional ability (ADL or Cognitive)?
If that is the case, tell me why that is a bad idea. I think I know, but I
want to hear your viewpoint.
