Good Evening
Let's put this into perspective. But first I have to say that Lisa is one
great agent. She knows a lot, and knows how to sell. And everyone has an
opinion.
This is not about a company closing and going out of business. That happens
all the time. This is about a possible misrepresentation to the employees.
This is about agents being hired and wasting weeks of training and getting
licensed with one or two carriers and then told to go out in the field. After the
training facility was shut down in Nashville. Same agents after wasting time
are then given notice.
This is about agents working hard toward a goal of being vested for renewals
and then not having a chance to get them for no fault of their own. Can you
imagine if you have $340,000 of business on the books and there is nothing you
can do about it after investing all this time. Those agents were working for
not only 30 percent commission but the renewals too and it was taken away from
them. They lost what $75,000, maybe $100,000 for their family over the next
ten years.
Given 60 days notice to wrap it up. What if you were on vacation in January
for two or three weeks and did not write business. Now those agents are
kicking themselves in the ass for doing it because they did not know That LTPC was
going to close. Who is worrying about them. I am sure they moved on too and
have a new job, so have I. But someone has their $100,000 they worked for.
Not everyone might agree with this, but if there is a case the attorneys will
take it. And if the case is not good enough then it will just die. All we
are doing is just trying to find out. For whatever reason I decided to pursue
this, and eventually we will have some answers. Too many have responded to me
privately that tells me this has life. I submit other things on this board
for agent use and hope that some of you can use it.
