Bob, both your points today are welltaken. Misrepresentation could be a =
double-edged sword. However, not withstanding the contractual language, =
was it then legal, ethical, etc. (and I don't want to argue law or =
contracts here) for LTPC to prevent you or anybody else from making =
money for 60 days because we had to be truthful with our clients and let =
them know that we would not be able to provide them further service, =
etc.? We weren't allowed to go out and get licensed (according to our =
contract) with other carriers. In fact, I contacted John Hancock the =
Monday of the official announcement, not even one of our carriers, to =
talk about getting reappointed with them (I had them as a carrier prior =
to coming with LTPC), and was told by JH that LTPC had sent them a memo =
(maybe email) to refer all inquiries back to FMO Robert Foreman, not =
LTPC, but Robert Foreman. I felt that was a little strange and wrong =
and somebody was prepared. All I wanted to do was to have the paperwork =
in place to begin JH on June 21, 2003. I was trying to get all my ducks =
in a row, legally, but was thwarted.

Just because there is a contract, if there are unfair labor practices =
involved, it is wrong. No touchy, feely stuff. Realizing all the =
potential problems, LTPC should have immediately given each and every =
one of us the option of getting out of our contracts to pursue our =
livelihood and put everything in motion so we would have a smooth =
transition with our current carriers with new writing numbers. An =
upstanding company that cared about its employees would have done just =
that. No, the company didn't have to that, but I can't defend it for =
not doing that. I just wish I had the information, or at least the =
close contact with the home office, like our top agents did who suddenly =
left what we were told was a viable LTPC and set up brokerages.

Since this being monitored, there is another bit of information that =
might pertain to conflict of interest, that will not be revealed at this =
time. Call me and I'll talk with you about it.

No sour grapes, no conspiracy theory, but some things just don't add up. =
I just want the answers and I will accept whatever the outcome.

  BINGO!

I did one presentation, realized I couldn't go down the road I =
normally went in the presentation. I wrote the business because the =
situation warranted it.
From then on I concentrated on delivering as much business as I could =
and finding a new home.

All of this is exactly the reason why I immediately stopped writing =
business for LTPC upon hearing that they were going under. I could not, =
in good conscience, continue to represent them. It would have been a =
violation of my own personal integrity and ethical standards.
