Good points, Bob. That's exactly what we are seeking -- were there any =
obvious and grievous acts by Progeny. Will this outweigh the dust that =
it will kick up? That's why we are seeking legal opinions. Stating an =
opinion w/o characterizing those who disagree w/you is not a personal =
attack (I learned that lesson the hard way), so keep on providing =
everyone your opinions and insight. Thanks.

Not to mention that the dust you kick up may get in your own eyes and =
other's as well. (i.e. 'misrepresentation' issues, freezing renewals, =
helping former clients, etc).=20
This would be an acceptable risk if there were obvious and grievous =
acts done by Progeny.=20

  Just food for thought.

  WARNING
Any disagreement on my part with other opinions does not constitute a =
personal attack.

What a pitiful response. Those that are shaking their heads at all =
of this do not have their heads in a hole. By the way, that would be =
sand, not hole. But anyway, these peoples heads are now and always will =
be held high. It's how we are wired. We don't let little blips on the =
radar screen of our career send us into a tail spin. Obviously you =
didn't read my mail that carefully. Also, I am 39, so probably in the =
lower 35% of former LTPCers. That takes care of that theory!

$20,000 is worth fighting for if the fight was warranted. How many =
times does this have to be said? No company has EVER announced from the =
mountain tops that they were going out of business until it was an =
absolute. Talk to people that are informed about this and they will tell =
you. Every effort was being made to either sell LTPC (CNA/Robert =
Foreman), or change it. Does anyone really think that during that =
process Progeny should have told everyone that if it doesn't work "we're =
done"? That would have sunk the ship immediately! Progeny owed it to us =
to do everything necessary to save the company. A decision was made by =
people who run the company to close it.They gave us fair warning, made =
the transition smooth enough for someone with any heart to get on their =
feet.

It's just plain and simply bitterness and greed in my opinion. As I =
said before, I have friends from LTPC who were not vested. Would it be =
nice for Progeny to vest everyone? You bet! But it's not deserved! Nor =
should it be expected.

Finally Jeff, yes I do consider this to be "cry baby" situation. If =
you asked someone a day after they signed their contract if there was =
any chance of this company could go out of business, they would ALL =
say "well, of course theres always a chance". Well, guess what? It =
happened. This milk we all voluntarily spilled ourselves. If I was a new =
employer of the cry babies, I'd have to seriously consider added the =
phrase "Now we might go out of business one day okay?" "Pretty please =
understand that okay" to their contracts.

Everyone take a deep breath and ponder this. Isn't this the kind of =
potential lawsuit that we all complain about around the water cooler? I =
guess it is unless it's affecting you Then right or wrong, signed a =
contract or not, getting some $ unethically is better than getting none =
at all right?

    Regards

    Berry

P.S. Jeff, I get alot more forward thinking e-mails than the other!
