[Scons-users] Java WAR support in SCons

so SCons does not have builtin *.war support? reading the thread mentioning war.py i have got the impression that particular file is not recommended to use, but i will give it a try.
I'm not java developer and don't know anything about *.war files and wanted to know if there is a official 'builder' covering this topic. ok, will try to cope with the problem. if i get something that can be useful, will share.

also, as a word of praise: i'm quite happy with SCons tool. had some problems at the beginning but that's behind me. currently, i build around 1.5 millions  of LoC with SCons (plus jenkins), and plan to extend to over 3 millions (mostly C++ and Delphi, but also JAVA and Fortran)

Hi Nikola,

I think the best would be that you simply try out the war.py you found, if it seems to fit your needs. Nobody forces you to only use the SCons core functionality, adding your own extensions and tweaking the build system as you like is encouraged and intended.

And if you encounter any problems, show us a small example project and we can then try to help you make it work.
