Something that has turned up. It looks like what happens is it gets larger a couple of times then drops back again and goes in a cycle. Not spotted till I did 4 builds in a row.

Not quite sure what happened to the build that got out of hand but I've been getting this behaviour in my test view all day

Tom,

How big are the files? (.sconsign)
Do you have any non file nodes?

Start with 'sconsign .sconsign.dblite' -- that outputs a human-readable version of the sconsign db. Maybe just diff those after a couple of runs?

I've noticed recently that even after doing a build-that-does-nothing, our .sconsign.dblite files are slowly growing. not much, say 2%. I'm currently at a bit of a loss as to what is going on, but I'd have thought if you did nothing, the file size shouldn't change.

Any pointers as to where I could look or what I might be doing wrong?
