Yes, I've managed to see The Libertines twice (once supporting Supergrass at the Shepherds Bush Empire than having the audacity to headline above the Buzzcocks at an Anti-Racism gig and they were pants, enormous pants ... but the kids loved it ... doh

  I'd be suprised if there was a single fan here. Good hype, wooful music, the little I can rememeber after hearing a couple of singles is a dull Britpopish sound, a bit like Sleeper without Louise whats-her-face.

    I'm betting they've got a fare few fans here.  Can someone explain the appeal of them?

    I've got a soft spot for their crack-addled lead singer (he used to write a QPR fanzine back in the day!) but the music seems just soooo utterly without merit.

    There is no balls to it, it sounds like it's being played by 15 year olds and he sings much like a drunk fergal sharkey.  yet they are proclaimed as the saviours of rock and roll.
