[kj] (OT) SHOCK!!

Terrorism will always exist, and terrorists quite often get their way
because there is no defense except to absolutely lock down a society. This
is the ultimate goal of terrorism: to change the government of the target
country by inconveniencing the population to the degree that they vote them
and their policies out.
As for the implementation of "real communism", I would like to see it occur
concurrently with the implementation of real capitalism and see who comes
out on top. Corporate influence on government, "globalism", and "free
trade" are a far cry from what the free market is supposed to be. If
government regulation of the market is allowed, the notion of competition,
the most necessary component for the free market to function, is moot and
the result is big business and government running rampant as they are today.
The state's meddling is the menace, ultimately, and in a sense they are
after a form of collectivism that will consolidate power for the elite. Not
much different from the implementation of communism in the last century.
The state is also the entity responsible for war, "the health of the state"
as Randolph Bourne put it, since it increases taxes and gives more power to
the state. For these reasons it is ultimately a socialist enterprise. And
socialism, after all, is just legalized theft. To paraphrase Lenny Bruce:
let me keep my bread, man. I want to play Christ.
Not to degenerate into petty sarcasm, however this is the Gathering: As for
Cuba, I suppose those people navigating shark infested waters in a leaky
inner tube are only trying to get to the U.S. to tell us how successful
their system is.
Alright, you pinkos may have at me now.
