Firstly Apologies for posting my previous post three times .My mistake.
It is allowed for soldiers to kill each other during war time. The thing
that I don't understand is why did nt the Argentines have somebody awake and
keeping watch?Secondly ,Why would the SAS want to keep the an Argentine
look-out awake allnight ,Surely they would be better able to carry out their
duties whilst the enemy is sleeping.
And Your story from Ireland never happened,It is a fabrication. The SAS
are a highly trained, highly disciplined fighting force and they are trained
in ways to extract information and the ways you described are not the way
the SAS do things. And i find it bewildering that you can say that its "
justified on utilitarian grounds".It never happened and if it ever did
happen,it would nt be justified UNDER ANY GROUNDS.
I do feel that you SAS mate was lying. If they can prosecute soldiers in
Ireland for shooting the wrong person then they could easily of prosecuted
soldiers for what you described. There are only 300 SAS at any one time so to
track them down would of been so simple.
I have met a couple of SAS soldiers in my time. One had had to slit the
throats of Argentinians in their sleep during the Falklands war. They would
steal behind enemy lines and then slit the throats of one or two soldiers
leaving the others to discover them in the morning. Horrible, but effective
- as obviously the other soldiers would not sleep the next night or the next
night etc.etc.
Another ex SAS guy told me that when they were on the case of an IRA man
and lost him they visited the terrorists wife and raped her anally until she
told them where he was.
