I've personally never been stung through buying stuff online, and I've
made probably about 100 purchases, and use Internet banking all the time.
My bank gives me zero bank fees (whoopty shit, always used to be free,
when I was a kid...) if I stay away from the humans, i.e. electronic only
banking. Credit card has always been fine for me too. There are other
considerations however, depending on how much of a hippie conspiracy
theorist you are like me, about tracking your information, especially if
you belong to any of those rewards schemes, fly buys, air points, rewards
points etc (good little consumer....)

I did however lose out on an auction I won, a Guild S-100 solid body
electric gat that I managed to purchase for $666, thought the fucking
stars were aligned for that one...not to be. I took advantage of the time
zone differences, noticed that the auction finished in the night in the US
but during the day in NZ, the other bidders were from the States. Thought
I was getting a good deal, apparently too smart for my own good.

So I'm sticking to the ruler.
