[kj] Guilty Pleasures

I don't consider Guns n Roses a guilty pleasure at all. Well, Appetite for Destruction, at least. And Lies, sure why not. The 2 Use Your Illusion albums were overblown wank. Appetite is great though. It's So Easy, My Michelle, Rocket Queen - all amazing!

Heh heh, those certain U2 songs would be among my pleasures as well. "All I Want Is You," can't help it.

Among my guiltiest pleasures are several Guns N' Roses songs. That Slash fellow really had a nice bluesy rock mix to him. Though last time I pulled them out I noticed one of their songs seemed to lift a simple riff from Gang of Four. (Go4 song was "What We All Want," don't remember what the GNR song was, though, but it went to newer, better dimensions!).

I also can enjoy an unhealthy amount of Phish...

Some of mine:

Motley Crue - s/t (this is the one CD they did with John Corabi replacing Vince Neil on vocals. It's really good, i swear to god)
certain U2 songs like Bullet The Blue Sky, some of the stuff off of War, All I Want Is You
the songs I'm With You and Don't Tell Me by Avril Lavigne
a couple of Rage Against the Machine songs
All These Things I've Done by the Killers

I also think Stepping Out is an awesome track and Wichita Lineman is fantastic. So is Rhinestone Cowboy, for that matter, but Wichita Lineman really is something special.

Pure Shores is a class track!

As is Black Coffee.

Guilty Potanga secrets would include bits of Natalie Imbruglia, Dido,
Coldplay, Keane, Willie Nelson & David Meade - all good to work to when I
need to think.
I think Robbie Williams Let Love Be Your Energy is fantastic. I love the
guitars & would love to play it live at some point.
Also Big Country, Ultravox up to Lament & I don't mind early Duran Duran,
although I can't decide if this is just down to nostalgia?
The Connells 74-75
Joe Jackons Stepping Out
Men At Work's 'Land Down Under' never fails to put a smile on my face &
make me feel happy.
Probably my all time favourite song is Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman.

I didn't know who it was when I first heard it & try as I might to dislike
it I also quite like Take That's Patience.
(Did I say that out loud?)
