Mel to answer your earlier question, I love The Simpsons.
Went with my nephews (13 and 10 years old) to see the film last
night. I laughed, it has some great lines (Mr Burns: "Finally,
the rich white man has the power") and it was generally more
amusing than any other big screen 'comedy' I've seen in the
last few years.
Then again, I don't get Sky, so I can't comment on the
'It's not so funny anymore' complaints that you hear a lot nowadays.
The middle period, seasons 8/9/10, I can watch over and over again.

positive reviews:

Metacritic's site, FYI, may be one of the best kept secrets on the 'net 
-- it's an aggregator or global sampling of movie reviews, DVD reviews, 
and music reviews.

Of course, I am chary of trusting this sort of stuff ever since 40 
Year-Old Virgin, a movie that sucked donkey piss, got a lot of positive 
reviews, from Roger Ebert, who I believe put it in his Top 10 of the 
year it came out.
