actually i was talking to the alcoholics on the list (that's why jon responded first :o)... anyway, we have already booked rooms at the globetrotter inn... they seem to be the best offer! would be nice to meet some gatherers (including those from the notts postal services) and have pints of malt, either single or married....

First of all, "Scotch" is the drink. The people are 'Scots' (Shades of "Ich bin ein Berliner" there). You could try the Globetrotter Inn - i think it's more of a hostel but gets good reviews. I haven't stayed there myself. Of course it has the added advantage of having 5 mile exclusion order out on Jon Chapman after an incident involving the Girl Guides of South America (yes...ALL of them)
